Receptionist

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Receptionist in our Chemicals Manufacturing company located in CHANNAHON, Illinois. This role primarily involves handling phone calls and directing them to the appropriate department or point of contact as well as greeting customers at the front door. Your key responsibilities will be maintaining office operations smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities: Handle incoming phone calls and direct them to the correct department or point of contact Greet and welcome customers at the front door, ensuring a positive first impression Assist with general office duties to ensure smooth operations Utilize a multi-line phone system for communication and coordination purposes Provide administrative assistance as needed, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time. Requirements Proven experience in a receptionist role within the Chemicals Manufacturing industry Proficiency in handling receptionist duties such as greeting visitors, handling incoming calls, and managing correspondence Experience with administrative assistance including scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and performing data entry tasks Ability to operate a multi-line phone system effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Proficiency in using office equipment such as printers, photocopiers, and fax machines Competency in using computer software such as MS Office Suite High school diploma or equivalent education level Ability to work independently and as part of a team Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality Availability to work during standard business hours.
