Adecco is assisting a local client in Aurora IL. Seaching for a reliable and experienced packer to work a full time schedule plus available ovetime. This is a Temp to permanent position.Mon-Fri 10am-6pm$15.50 /hr. Overtime available for time and a half.Packer - Requires Steel Toed shoesHours are from 10am-6pm (Training for the first few weeks from 8am-4pm)Performs packaging duties for the shipment of Company products, Company-owned material, and company-supplier material. Processes packed orders to accommodate the method of shipment. Loads product and material onto trucks to ship orders to destination. Uses the Company MRP system to document the packing, processing, and shipment of products and materials.Primary/Essential Responsibilities: Determines proper packing material based on the type of product or material. Builds cartons, tubes, skids, redi-crates, and wood crates of different sizes to properly pack the product or material. Processes packed orders using the MRP system to accommodate the required method of shipment by scheduling in the UPS system or staging for other small box or LTL carrier pick up. Loads packed and processed material onto carrier trucks using pallet jacks, sit-down forklift, hoist, etc. Operates electrical and pneumatic tools, standard construction and mechanical tools, weight scales, and computer. Possesses beginning to basic knowledge of the subject matter.Required Qualifications: Describe the minimum required education, experience (type and years), and skill/competencies High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. No prior experience or training is required, although is preferred. Ability to read and comprehend, in ENGLISH, simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and to communicate in English in one-on-one and small group situations to other associates of the organization. Ability to use basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Preferred Qualifications: Describe qualifications preferred to enhance immediate job performance Elementary understanding in the use of a computer, preferably Windows-based. Prior experience with power tools and standard construction tools. Prior experience with Powered Industrial Trucks, i.e. forklifts, order pickers, powered pallet jacks, etc.Physical Demands / Working Conditions: Delete the options below which do not describe the jobs physical demands required as part of primary essential responsibilities.
