Human Resource Information Systems Analyst

This position primarily handles data analysis and report generation from the HR Information System (HRIS) to drive data-driven business decisions. They will share the results of the analysis with management, who will use it to make strategic HR changes and improvements for the College. The Analyst will check to identify trends and patterns to help determine the HR Programs and direction the College needs to take to maximize employee engagement and HR efficiency. The successful candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools, is comfortable accessing and working with data from multiple sources, and passionately partners with HR leadership to identify strategic opportunities and deliver results. The candidate needs an internal drive to answer “why” questions, excellent analytical abilities, strong technical skills, as well as superior written and verbal communication skills. The candidate would be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Essential Functions:• Conducts independent research, data analysis and visualized reporting. Identify potential data sources that will allow analysis and provide interpretable and meaningful results.• Designs and executes reporting to fulfill federal, state, and institutional reporting requirements.• Using analysis and findings, informs recommendations for strategic improvements based on analysis and findings.• Create analytical solutions to forecast key performance measures.• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.• Utilizes data from ERP system as well as other internal and external databases to collect and evaluate national, state, and local data trends.• Composes correspondence and generates reports.• Conducts research and presents findings utilizing various forms of media.• Solicits data via various means to support analytical studies.• Participates in the input, maintenance, accuracy, and reporting of human resources information and metrics, including personal and confidential information using CWI’s ERP system and other related software.• Works with the HR staff in assessing database and reporting needs.• Analyzes current database setup and report structures and makes recommendations for additions and enhancements.• Develop, design, alter and maintain HR reporting tools within the scope of the job to provide ease of data gathering.• Manage ad-hoc reporting and analysis.• Serves as the Liaison between HR and the College’s Institutional Effectiveness Department by serving as the HR Data Steward on the Data Governance Council.• Conveys by words and action the values expected by CWI• Performs related duties and other supporting tasks as required or assigned.

UMinimum Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree within a related field or equivalent amount of experience preferred.• Two years of experience working as an Analyst preferred in an HR field where quantitative methods have direct applicability to people research.• Experience with Business Intelligence Reporting and related data architectures, methods and tools. Specific experience with any of the following would be a plus: Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server, Excel, SAP Business Objects, Crystal Reports.• Experience with data retrieval and analysis from HRIS/ERP systems (Ellucian Colleague preferred).• Knowledge of statistics and related methodologies, including applications, collection and correlation of data.• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.• Experience with methods of planning and conducting studies and designing reports.Strong oral and written communication skills including methods of presenting data via multi-media and web publishing.• Strong communication skills across all levels of an organization.• Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with others within HR and across departments.• Ability to work within a larger HR Team as well as across other campus departments.
