- Lead a large development and implementation team in the design of highly complex business intelligence solutions, as necessary.
- Act as the highest technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility and multiple platforms as necessary.
- Ensure efficient and effective business intelligence systems by leading in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cubes using MDX language and associated toolset.
- Produce project plans, schedules, estimates, and progress measurement criteria by leading project planning and scheduling sessions as needed.
- Assure comprehensive systems by leading in requirements sessions to define details of a BI solution such as source of data, transformation and aggregation of data, technical definition of metrics, reports and dashboards.
- Assure workable results by coding complex programs following the design criteria and using department standards.
- Ensure appropriate functionality by performing and supervising other personnel in program testing.
- Maintain system integrity by documenting according to department standards and best practices.
- Responsible for maintaining business intelligence environment including refresh of data cubes, information marts and their publishing, and ensuring security policies are followed relative to access and data exposure.
- Promote use and understanding of the data warehouse, data vault, and business intelligence solutions by providing support to user groups which can include helping users through query optimization, troubleshooting SQL/MDX queries, and general questions regarding data in the warehouse.
- Provide user communication and technical expertise for system malfunctions and enhancements to ensure availability, system integrity, and user satisfaction.
- As a project leader, employ necessary project management techniques in planning, reporting, staffing, tasking and managing critical project elements to ensure delivery of quality systems is a timely manner.
- Transforms defined data and design elements into data cubes, information marts and tables. Creates new channels to provide access to client.
- Provide training of users to maximize the effectiveness of their use of data provided by the warehouse and business intelligence solutions.
- Keep up-to-date with technology, tools, and theory relating to data warehousing, reporting, and analysis.
