HVAC Service Manager

We are looking for a reliable Service Manager/Dispatcher to act as a communication point for emergency and non-emergency calls. You will receive requests, transmit messages, and track vehicles. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency situations. While dispatching technicians you will also be responsible for ordering parts, tracking parts, coordinating with customers and other departments. You must be able to multitask as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision. The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information.

Qualifications

3-5+ years of experience in dispatching, preferred

Experience in HVAC or service industry, strongly preferred

Supervisory experience, desirable

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Ability to work well within a team environment

Geographical knowledge of service area or map reading skills

History of maintaining professional but friendly and outgoing demeanor

Strong problem-solving skills

Microsoft Office Suite skills required

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other employees.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
