Job Overview:
Design innovative new products for a small, fast-growing company. This is a position for an intelligent, careful, and creative person. This is a position for a person who wants to make a difference as you will be part of a small team and be able to make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Design new products that are interesting and provide a high level of functionality.
Design robotic platforms and production automation.
Synthesize research, aesthetic trends and production processes to generate new concepts that possess the visual brand character and user experience of our products.
Create ideas for new products.
Design new injection molded parts.
Identify/plan resource needs for future projects.
Drive innovative product enhancements that simplify manufacturing complexity.
Support design resources to manage projects.
Research new production methods, including automation.
Create, consider, and analyze a variety of different production processes and methods.
Perform product testing, then implement product improvements to overcome weaknesses.
Job Requirements:
BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a similar field.
College GPA of 3.6 or higher.
Good mechanical inclination.
Experience building and creating.
Enjoys solving mechanical problems to make a successful product.
Ability to learn quickly.
Creative thinker that finds and implements innovative and practical solutions.
Experience with Solidworks preferred.
1-10 years experience
Expected start date: July/ August 2015
