Job Title: Diesel MechanicJob DescriptionPerform routine and non-routine maintenance activities and provide service on mobile equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all site mobile equipment used in an underground and surface mining environment. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, drills, bolters, haul trucks, graders, dozers, tractors, light vehicles, and forklifts.Responsibilities
Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities.
Service and repair mobile equipment used in mining environments.
Troubleshoot and maintain various types of equipment including drills, bolters, haul trucks, graders, dozers, tractors, light vehicles, and forklifts.
Conduct preventive maintenance on diesel engines, brakes, transmissions, and other components.
Diagnose and repair issues related to hydraulics, electrical systems, pneumatics, and suspensions.
Perform welding, fabrication, and diagnostic testing.
Maintain fleet and ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition.
Essential Skills
Experience with diesel engines, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Proficiency in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and engine repair.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Knowledge of heavy equipment and fleet maintenance.
Welding and fabrication skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic testing abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
AA or Certificate in Automotive or Diesel preferred but not required.
Experience in industrial and trailer repair.
