Sheet Metal and Steel Erection Assembly Technicians and Team Leads

We are seeking entry level and lead positions for Sheet Metal and Steel Erection Assembly to join our team. In these roles, you will be responsible for assembling and installing sheet metal and steel structures according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Expertise in sheet metal fabrication (on-site) and steel erection will contribute to the successful completion of various construction projects, predominately assembling paint booths and blasting booths for government, and private companies alike.

Responsibilities:

-Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout, sequence, and assembly of sheet metal and steel structures.

-Measure and mark sheet metal and steel materials for cutting, bending, and shaping, ensuring accuracy and precision.

-Operate a variety of hand and power tools such as shears, saws, drills, and welding equipment to fabricate and assemble sheet metal and steel components.

-Weld, bolt, rivet, or otherwise fasten assembled parts together to construct metal structures, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards.

-Install and secure sheet metal and steel components onto building frameworks, including roofs, walls, ceilings, and support structures.

-Inspect finished assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications, making adjustments and modifications as necessary.

-Collaborate with other construction team members, including architects, engineers, and fellow technicians, to coordinate project tasks and ensure timely completion.

-Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times, including proper handling of materials and equipment.

Requirements:

-Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Technician, Steel Fabricator, or similar role in the construction industry.

-Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.

-Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques, including cutting, bending, shaping, and welding a plus.

-Ability to operate large equipment and a variety of hand power tools safely and effectively.

-Experience with steel erection techniques and practices.

-Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

-Excellent attention to detail and precision in assembly work.

-Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.

-Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

-Training in sheet metal fabrication, welding, or related fields is preferred.

-Positions require heavy travel throughout the United States.

-Must be able to clear background check for access onto military bases.
