General Position Summary: Provide overall management direction for small to large sized projects ranging from $50,000.00 to $1,000,000. Assist in developing new business opportunities and maintaining existing client relationships. Train and develop direct reports in best practices and essential job duties. Perform all aspects of project management and core leadership to guide the project team to success.
Communication:
Act as the main point of contact between Client, Architect, Engineers, Subcontractors,
vendors and Mission Building team members
Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors and vendors
Identify the core goals of the company and owner, and ensure the project team understands them
Promote Mission Building policies and procedures.
Project Management:
Perform all project management duties including schedule management, change order
management, budget management, subcontractor management, owner/architect
relations, project billings, provide and review weekly job forecast reports, etc.
High level of problem solving abilities, able to anticipate, identify and resolve challenges
as they arise.
Have a comprehensive understanding of the contract documents, plans, specifications
and construction means and methods.
Safety:
Actively support Mission Building safety practices
Business Development:
Maintain client/architect relationships
Follow-up on project opportunities
Attend applicable industry events
Qualifications:
5-10 years progressive experience in construction, demonstrating increased
responsibility and leadership
Solid understanding of construction methods and best practices, knowledgeable of
all trades, MEP systems, and applicable building codes
Able to multi-task and manage several projects
Collaborative, problem solver, hard working
Personable and professional
Strategic thinking
Attention to detail, analytical approach to problems
Great communication skills - written and oral
Education/Experience:
College degree preferred in construction/architecture/engineering or equivalent experience
Construction field experience favorable
Estimating experience favorable
Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Projects and Bluebeam preferred
OSHA 10 or greater preferred
