Job Title: Lead Dental Assistant Location: Austin Creek Dental, Meridian, ID Position Type: Full-time About Us: At Austin Creek Dental, we are passionate about providing top-tier dental care in a friendly, comfortable environment. Led by Dr. Tim Hansen and Dr. Todd Adams, our practice has built a reputation for excellent patient care and a strong team-oriented atmosphere. Our current Lead Dental Assistant has been with us for 12 years and is transitioning to a nursing career. While we are sad to see her go, we are excited to find a new team member who can step into her role and continue the high standard of care we provide to our patients. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Lead Dental Assistant to manage and mentor our back-office team. In this leadership position, you’ll be essential to ensuring that our daily operations run smoothly and that our patients receive the highest quality care. You will work directly with Dr. Hansen, Dr. Adams, and the rest of our team to create a positive and productive environment while maintaining excellent care and organization. Responsibilities: -Lead and supervise a team of dental assistants to ensure efficient back office operations -Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, including CEREC restorations, fillings as well as implant placement, etc.
-Ensure strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols.
-Educate patients on oral hygiene, procedures, and post-operative care.
-Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft dental software.
-Oversee inventory management and equipment maintenance to ensure everything is ready for each day’s procedures.
-Foster a positive and efficient work environment that supports the practice’s success Stay updated on new technologies and best practices to continually improve patient care
Qualifications: -Minimum 3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant in general dentistry -Proficiency in CEREC software and experience with CEREC restorations -Experience with Eaglesoft dental software -Strong organizational, leadership, and mentoring skills -Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care -Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously -Radiography certification and other relevant certifications are preferred
