The Supervisor is responsible for developing and improving policies, supervising and maintaining the quality performance of the Admitting Department. Must be able to travel to various physician offices to educate them on the facility admitting process. A. JOB KNOWLEDGE
Demonstrates knowledge and ability of the admitting process and can troubleshoot problems.
Prepares patient charts and enters patient information into computer.
Interviews patients, relatives or other responsible individuals to obtain identifying and biographical information. Interprets hospital regulations to patient concerning pre-operative requirements. Explains rates, charges, services, and hospital policies regarding payment of bills.
Makes copies of ID, insurance cards, etc.
Obtains signatures from patients for insurance filing and admission papers.
Collects monies due at time of admission and gives payments to appropriate personnel.
Answers telephones as needed.
Performs other miscellaneous secretarial duties as needed.
Performs all other duties assigned by supervisor.

Acts as a lead for admitting clerks
Creates monthly schedule for admitting team
Approves/denies PTO Requests
Partners with Admitting Supervisor to complete evaluations annually
QualificationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS License or Certification: N/A Total Education, Vocational Training, and Experience: High school diploma. Has strong computer knowledge and skills. Has strong typing skills. USD $21.00/Hr. USD $25.00/Hr.
