Job Description

As the Senior QA Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of QA engineers and analysts, designing and documenting test cases based on business requirements, and manual and automated test execution including the development of automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver for Java, contributing to test planning, test report documentation, peer review sessions and the continuous development of the test automation framework.

As the Senior QA Manager, you will report to our Director of Digital Technology. This role can work remote fromanywhere in the U.S. or locally in our Redwood City, CA or Boise, ID office location. Our local teams are expected to work in a hybrid model, which includes two days in-office.

What you'll do:
  • Establish standards, policies, and procedures for testing processes and procedures
  • Partner with the QA Manager in Manila to manage the testing process by planning, scheduling, organizing, and coordinating efforts with other functions and team members
  • Review results of tests to ensure that they meet established standards or making adjustments to improve results
  • Work with cross-functional partners (engineers, product management, business partners) to develop test plans and scripts to automate testing
  • Perform quality assurance audits to ensure that Balsam Brands meets industry standards for best practices
  • Conduct training sessions for new team members to ensure that they understand their roles in the testing process
  • Identify potential risks associated with a release of new software or hardware for which the company may need to develop countermeasures
  • Manage and oversee the progress of projects from start to finish, reporting progress to cross-functional teams
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of new technologies and recommending changes to existing ones

What you bring to the table:
  • Minimum ten (10) to twelve (12) years of work experience. With minimum three (3) years of managerial level experience.
  • Must be able to demonstrate years of relevant experience in Software Quality Assurance
  • Must be adept in managing the technical functions of planning, leading, organizing and in developing a team of Software Quality Assurance professionals.
  • Must be capable of automating manual tests from scratch
  • Must be capable of using Java programming language for test automation
  • Experience writing test automation, test cases, and test reports
  • Knowledge of software QA concepts and methodology
  • Experience working as embedded QA exercising AGILE methodologies
  • Experience working closely with Development and Business teams
