CRI is looking for a Product Owner to work on our client's Enterprise Data team in analytics, information, and data warehousing domains. You will help Agile teams through technology platform modernization and build an industry-leading information data capability.Type: Long-term contractLength: 12+ monthsReports to: Agile Program and Product Management team (IT) Primary AccountabilitiesProduce a high quality backlog — balancing usability, business value, customer value, and Dev team deliveryEngage with product management and analyst teams to develop a product and team delivery roadmaps aligned to our strategic prioritiesEngage and lead Sprint Planning meetings and other Scrum eventsEstablish quality Sprint Review and demos with appropriate stakeholder engagementDefine and articulate objectives at iteration, quarterly, and multi-year roadmap level. Promote timeline delivery against feature, task, and initiative level objectives.Write well-defined User Stories/Use Cases and acceptance criteriaEnsure top-caliber stakeholder and leadership communication occursEnsure quality delivery of business deliverables while inspiring and motivating teamsExhibit big picture product and business sense; demonstrate deep understanding of the product from a user’s perspectiveSecondary AccountabilitiesWork with other Product Owners via a Community of Practice / guild to increase collaboration, consistency and application of best practices among Product Owners in the organizationDrive adoption and maturity of product management and Agile disciplines at team, department, and enterprise levelsDrive requirements and solution discovery for upcoming project work, maintain a pipeline of well-structured work for team consumptionBehaviorsGet things done, fail fast, prioritize the right work to maximize value, and follow through; your efforts measurably push the business forwardBe a leader, and build leadership in othersBias for action, work with a sense of urgency and steady forward momentum Models holistic thinking and a systems-based approachWorks well with others within their team and across teams, communicates effectively, invites feedback, helps others, and is humbleEmbodies a “We, not I” attitudeIs open and accepting of other team members’ ideas, knowledge, and leadership; makes judgments based on merit, not provenanceTakes ownership of projects and processes end-to-end, drives them to completion; proactively finds high leverage problems and initiates thoughtful solutionsIdeal Qualifications:Bachelor’s (BA or BS) in business, computer science, or related fieldExperience in the data warehousing, analytics, information data mart, reporting, and data ingestionFamiliarity with modern data tooling, DataMart 2.0, Tableau, SSRS, SQL, SybaseMinimum 2 years previous experience as a product owner / product manager for Agile software development teamsCertification for Product Ownership (or equivalent demonstrable professional mastery)In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, technical understanding of products, and up-to-date on industry standards and best practicesWorking knowledge of software development. TFS, Jira, and other Agile work management tools a plusComfortable working with multiple teams, in-house and remoteExcellent verbal and written communication skills; accurate and precise attention to detailAble to build strong interpersonal relationships with business analysts, leadership, senior management, and internal and external stakeholdersExperience working with Aha!
