Lakewood Montessori is looking for you!
Our accredited, well-established Montessori preschool is in need of an assistant teacher to complete our classroom community. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week Monday through Friday.
Your role would be to work as a supportive team with your lead and co-assistant teachers to foster a nurturing, stimulating, caring, and peaceful environment. You'll
-Model positive behaviors for children,
-Support group time and outdoor play,
-Support language development, social and emotional learning, and executive functioning skills,
-Facilitate transitions,
-Prepare learning materials,
-Help children with independence milestones like toilet learning, and
-Help make the learning environment a lovely and inviting place to be!
You'll be a perfect fit in our class community if you are positive by nature, a good communicator, have a willingness to learn, and believe in the potential of each child.
We are looking for someone with a CDA or relevant education related to young children, and at least one year of experience working in an early childhood education setting with children between the ages of 15 months and 6 years. Candidates with experience in a Montessori setting are highly encouraged to apply. We welcome all your talents: crafting, cooking, gardening, singing feel free to share them in your resume!
This is a full-time position. Benefits include:
