We need you. Our wonderful Preschool teacher just gave her notice. She will be homeschooling her children.
We need an experienced and Boise City licensed Early Childhood Teacher for this position.
Starting wages are $12-$14/hr depending on teaching experience and education.
We are an outreach ministry of Beautiful Savior church and as such, our teachers share the love of God with the children on a regular basis through prayer, devotions and bible stories.
We are also a nature based, play based, thematic academic center - leading children through project based, Reggio and emergent to love to learn and find out about their world. Sort of an eclectic blend. All the teachers have their strengths in different modes but all are committed to encouraging each child, where they are, to grow and love learning.
Covid 19 has been a challenge but so far it has not spread here, thank the Lord. We all wear masks, even our 3 year olds, when we are not in our safe, mask free area. Each child has a little 'home' with their own toys and table and chair that is a place, safe from germs. When they come out they put on their masks. Children are amazing how quickly they learn. Our classes are small. Right now only 6 three year olds.
We spend almost 1/2 the day outside on our nature playground. Lots of trees (and leaves in the fall !), squirrels, rabbits, owls, quail, with an occasional deer walking through when they kids are napping. Our property backs up to the New York canal so it looks like a forest hillside in back. We alternate inside and outside all day for covid so the children are getting fresh air. We try to most of our teaching outside, different things each time we're out. Art - both inside and out depending on the project. Storytime outside and circle time outside where we can gather and still distance a bit. It is a fun day for all.
