- The Idaho Department of Transportation is seeking a contractor with successful project management experience.
- Lead the creation and definition of innovative business and process concepts by collaborating with multiple business teams in Idaho and in our District teams across the State
- Analyze existing processes for opportunities to innovate and improve
- Oversee the development of scope of project work, schedule, and budget for assigned project elements, resource allocation, and monitoring progress to meet schedule and budget requirements
- Preparing technical reports and documentation of activity for stakeholders and project management
- Monitor project execution and progress, staff resource, schedule, scope, budget, and project issues necessary to achieve its successful completion
- Delivers reports, presentations, proposals, and project management documentation
- Manages day-to-day project stakeholder’s relationships, ensures effective communication, and works to develop long-term relationships
- Manages achievement of assignment /task scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives
- Meet with vendor’s personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items
- Employee must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all safety policies and must be willing to report and/or act on safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel
- Employee is expected to meet attendance standards as determined by HWY’s management
- Position may require outside work, subject to all types of weather and temperature conditions
- Management of large teams for successful project delivery
- Expertise in MS-Project
- Ability to lead and work with varying teams and discipline areas
- PMP certification
- Cost management and accounting experience
- Familiarity with transportation planning and related policy issues
- Experience managing DOT projects desired
- Transportation project management experience
- Education for Transportation Project Manager
- Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Technical, Science, Management, MBA, Architecture, Design, Graduate
- Management of large teams for project delivery
- Expertise in MS-Project
- Ability to lead and work with varying teams and discipline areas
- Licensing or Certifications for Transportation Project Manager a plus
