Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a talented Network Engineer to support DISA's ongoing mission in Hawaii, to manage and restore the defense network services to the DoD and various other national security organizations . We are looking for a well-versed Network Engineer to contribute operational engineering support to the Mission Integrity Team to restore any network-impacting event affecting customer service while utilizing a variety of resources. Clearance: Active Secret Clearance - Clearance will be upgraded to TS/SCIResponsibilities of the Network Engineer include: • Working knowledge of one or more Transport platforms: CIENA 6500, CIENA Corestream, Cisco NCS2K, CISCO MSPP 15454/15310, SYCAMORE ODXC 16K/9K, XTERA, and other ancillary equipment • Manage GTMS ticket reporting, in accordance with Change Management procedures, use SOPs, TTPs, and WIs to complete change tasks • Perform network monitoring to asses if deployed changes have caused impacts to customer traffic using provided expectations of traffic behavior, lessons learned, and customer reporting • Engage with other engineers to determine the best practice and operation of the network to maintain constant operation, and provide input to Government customer on best practices for operation and maintenance of the network • Review Problem Management candidate tickets to accept or reject based on SOP • Use TTPs to complete final validation check to set GTMS tickets to closed status Qualifications of the Network Engineer include: • Must have an ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE - with TS/SCI eligibility • Experience with some or all equipment platforms: CIENA 6500, CIENA Corestream, Cisco NCS2K, CISCO MSPP 15454/15310, SYCAMORE ODXC 16K/9K, XTERA, and other ancillary equipment • Excellent customer engagement experience managing customer expectations • Experience developing solutions to complex technical issues and problems • DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE or CCNA Security within 90 days of start date Compensation for the Network Engineer include: • Full benefits: United Healthcare, VSP Vision, Guardian Dental, and 401k options through ADP totalsource • Reimbursement for additional education or certifications • Opportunity to upgrade security clearance • Flexible salary dependent on experience level (90k-120k+)Keywords: network, networks, networking, TTP, TTPs, change management, secret, secret clearance, Cisco, IAT, intelligence, SONET, optical fiber, optical fiber transport, wavelength multiplexing, ODXC, MSPP, DWDM, Dense wavelength division multiplexing, transport platforms, transport networks, CIENA, DOD, department of defense, clearance, IAT III, Sec+, security+, security+ CE, router, switchesVacancy caducado!
