Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Network Administrator in Pearl Harbor, HI to provide technical support on a classified network supporting a US Government Customer.
Responsibilities for the Network Administrator include:- Network administration and troubleshooting.
- Maintenance of the network infrastructure, troubleshooting network connectivity for multiple sites, performing IOS upgrades for equipment, and assisting with failure repair when needed.
- Configuration of various TCP/IP protocols, translation between private and public addresses using NAT, and support protocols such as ARP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Configuration of routers to determine the function of various routing protocols, including RIP, IGRP, and OSPF.
- Use of a protocol analyzer to capture and view network traffic, including e-mail, instant message exchanges, and web transactions.
- Testing basic network security implementations (ex: the impact a router that has been configured as a firewall has on the flow of traffic through a network).
- 3+ Years of Experience with Networking
- Security+
- GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
- Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
- System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
- ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE (Interim acceptable) If you do not have a clearance but are still interested we can discuss the possibility of processing you for an interim clearance.
