We are looking for a dynamic leader who is highly organized and capable of providing leadership, guidance and direction in achieving the hotel’s vision and mission. Reporting to the Director of Rooms, the Director of Housekeeping is responsible for the overall cleanliness, maintenance and overall care of the hotel to include but not limited to public areas, guest rooms and heart of the house. The Director of Housekeeping is also responsible for the overall performance of the department as it relates to corporate and local objectives.What you will be doing:Manage strategic planning and implementation of processes for housekeepingAct as key player in hotel’s preventative maintenance programSupport the team through employee recognition and celebrationsSee performance management through completionMaintain ownership awareness of the departmental operating budgetLead and coach the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional guest experiences and colleague satisfactionFoster positive interdepartmental relationships to create a seamless experienceEnsure compliancy with department specific standards set by but not limited to Leading Quality Assurance, Fairmont Brand Standards, OSHA and LSOPsEnsure that all guest and colleague requests are handled in an efficient and professional mannerSupport company and hotel policies through active participation in EES, Health & Safety, RPSCreate a safe working environment through best practices and enforcing policiesActively participate and ensure strong departmental representation in all hotel committees and activitiesDevelop departmental goals and measurements resulting in guest, colleague, brand and ownership satisfactionOngoing professional development, growth, and job satisfaction of all leaders and colleagues throughout the departmentStrong financial acumen as it relates to budget and labor managementActively participate in the recruitment and on-boarding of both permanent and temporary colleaguesEnsure accuracy of monthly inventories in order to efficiently plan out supply ordersInspect all areas of the hotel and action concerns accordinglyMake certain that all instruction given in site alerts and group resumes are successfully carried outEnsure that all guest concerns are resolved to full satisfactionGuarantee accuracy in payroll, including incentives and gratuities
