Blue Ocean Mariculture is looking for a Driver & Material Handler (DMH) to join our team. The DMH assists in the day-to-day operations of the Processing department. The DMH has strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently handling various responsibilities, and maintains focus on safe operations. The DMH demonstrates professional manners and effective communication.
Duties, Responsibilities, & Requisites
Loading, transporting, and delivering items to Blue Ocean facilities and other businesses in a safe, timely manner.
Ensure orders are delivered on schedule, accurately, and in good condition.
Maintain excellent attendance.
Communicate any issues or delays that arise and assist in resolving problems.
Document the material delivery and vehicle logs with accuracy.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
Operate machinery according to protocols and in a safe manner.
Utilize a forklift or gradall to receive, off-load, and load materials.
Consistently comply with Company policies and procedures, including safety and biosecurity protocols.
Promote a culture of safety, integrity, and excellence.
Perform any duties assigned to operate the department and maintain a safe working environment.
What you'll bring:
Hold a valid driver’s license & clean driving record.
Ability to pass drug screening.
Ability to pass forklift and gradall certification.
Ability to lift and carry, push and pull 50lbs.
Ability to operate a vehicle for prolonged periods of time.
Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
Ability to work effectively independently and with a team.
Must be a self-motivated, independent worker with strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including ability to multi-task.
Be able to work atypical schedule, including Saturdays, Sundays & holidays.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
