Living Ocean is looking for a part time captain for our boats located in Kewalo Basin.
Minimum Qualifications:
USCG MMC 50 Ton Near Coastal with 5 Years Experience
FCC Radio Operators License
Valid Medical Certificate
Valid First Aid / CPR Certification
We are looking for someone with experience operating snorkeling boat tours. Must be able to interview in person in Honolulu to be considered for the position.
The boats are 49 passenger 46’ monohull twin screw vessels (Newton). We do snorkel tours, whale watches and sunset cruises.
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
Our captains will manage crew and perform basic maintenance as needed. Starting part time, possibility of more for the right person. Will include Medical/Dental/Vision after qualifying by working a minimum of 20 hours per week for 4 weeks. 401K retirement plan with up to 4% employer contribution match after 1 year of employment.
Excellent customer service with a good attitude is required. The attitude of the captain often determines the general mood of a trip. We want to find a person who is excited about showing our guests a good time and competent in their abilities. We expect our Captains to maintain a well groomed appearance and interact professionally with our customers.
Previous experience dive or snorkeling trips in Hawaii is highly desirable.
Must keep license renewed and in good standing and be able to complete pre employment and random drug screenings.
