Job Description:
Vactor Truck Driver/Operator
The Vactor truck operator will be responsible for driving and operating the Vactor truck.
This is not a driving only job, you will be working on other crews as needed for CCTV, Smoke Testing, flow monitoring and shop work as needed.
Qualifications:
Vactor Truck Driver/Operator:
Ability to drive and operate the Vactor truck and equipment (Willing to train the right person)
Valid Hawaii CDL with tanker endorsement.
Performance Expectations:
Load and prepare equipment for upcoming jobs. Unload equipment upon arrival on the job. Re-load equipment upon completion of the job and unload equipment upon return to the shop.
Set up and operate Vactor trucks.
Set up and operate sewer cleaning equipment. This includes lifting equipment weighing up to 80 lbs., standing for long periods of time, and climbing on to the unit for set up.
Perform confined space entry in areas that may include climbing, standing and working in awkward positions.
Driving additional vehicles such as pickup trucks
Inspect, use and maintain various personal protection equipment including chemical protective suits, respiratory protection equipment, safety harnesses, and air monitoring equipment.
Set up and operate various handheld and hand operated equipment including power tools, shovels etc.
Responsible for on-the-job safety and work quality.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip.
Set up and maintain traffic control.
General knowledge of jetter cleaning nozzles.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Positive attitude, organized, and ready to work.
Able to read a map.
Other duties as required.
