Open Position:
Heavy Equipment Operator to operate various types of machinery to assist with site preparation, excavation, grading, and utility installation. The ideal candidate has experience in residential construction, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, loaders, backhoes, and other heavy equipment
Perform site preparation, grading, trenching, and excavation according to project specifications
Load, move, and place materials as needed for construction operations
Ensure equipment is properly maintained and inspected before use
Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grade stakes
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free worksite
Work closely with site supervisors, carpenters, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution
Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report necessary repairs
Qualifications
3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in residential construction
Proficiency in grading, excavation, and site prep techniques
Ability to read and interpret site plans and grading specifications
Must have a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
Knowledge of equipment maintenance and safety procedures
Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
Must have a valid driver’s license
Experience in residential construction preferred
