Kona Queen Hawaii is hiring full-time permanent beekeepers in Captain Cook, Hawaii. No beekeeping experience necessary!
We are also accepting resumes from qualified candidates interested in working as a beekeeper at our other company, Paradise Queen Hawaii in Kea'au.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift 51 pounds
Ability to reliably commute to our location on Napo’opo’o Road in Captain Cook for a 7am start time
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and crouch throughout the day
Ability to work in various weather conditions
Ability to work on rough and varied terrain
Valid driver's license with clean driving history preferred but not required
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Our work schedule is generally Monday through Friday from 7am - 4pm. There are occasional longer days and weekends as the season requires. We provide a veil, hive tool, smoker, and UV protective shirt as well as reimbursement for quality work boots and rain gear.
Daily Tasks May Include:
Maintaining Beehives
o Feeding, Pulling Honey, Treating for Pests and Diseases as Needed, Relocating hives as needed
Maintaining Bee Yards
o Trimming / spraying vegetation, etc.
Catching Queens
Honey Extracting
All beekeepers may be asked to perform other tasks as needed. NOTE: We are not an organic operation and candidates must be willing and able to work with the hive / yard treatments required of the position. Employees will be provided with proper safety equipment as needed.
COMPENSATION:
Kona Queen determines salary based on experience. The starting wage is $19/hour with opportunity for advancement.
Experienced beekeepers may start at a higher rate.
