Position Summary:
Maui Pineapple Tours is seeking a skilled and versatile Automotive Technician to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of our company fleet of tour vehicles, staff vehicles, and a variety of farm and agricultural equipment including tractors and utility machinery. The ideal candidate is a dependable, hands-on technician who thrives in a dynamic work environment and takes pride in keeping equipment in top condition to support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on company tour vehicles and employee transport vehicles.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in gasoline and diesel-powered engines.
Inspect, service, and maintain tractors, agricultural machinery, and other off-road equipment as needed.
Complete vehicle inspections and document findings, work performed, and parts used.
Maintain accurate records of services and repairs in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Prioritize safety and compliance in all work performed.
Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance and minimize operational disruptions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop and tools.
Respond to field service requests for equipment breakdowns or urgent repairs.
Assist with ordering parts and maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive or equipment repair (fleet experience a plus).
Working knowledge of automotive systems (engine, transmission, brake, steering/suspension, HVAC, electrical).
Experience working on farm equipment, tractors, or heavy-duty machinery preferred.
Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus.
Own set of basic tools; specialty tools provided as needed.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work in varying weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
ASE certifications
Welding or fabrication experience
Familiarity with DOT regulations and fleet safety standards

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
