Job Description
Technical Support (Kahului/Wailuku - Must prove already lives in Maui)
IT Support Specialist
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hours: Day-Shift
Estimated Travel: On Island: 40%; Inter-Island 10%
Essential Functions:
Troubleshoot end-user issues in a timely manner and communicate with Clients when work is complete. Coordinate escalation of service requests when appropriate
Accept and accordingly respond to Client phone calls regarding computer/network related issues
Maintain and monitor systems to ensure no service interruption
Update and maintain technical and operational documentation
Work with outside vendors when necessary
Perform client-side desktop support as requested
Repair network cables when needed
Install new hardware to clients’ specifications
Collaborate with the team providing support as needed
Required Skills:
Desktop troubleshooting
Network setup
Proficient with DNS and DHCP
Administration of printers and files shares/permissions

Ability to work in a Multi-Project and Multi-Client environment
Self-motivated and willing to grow with a small company
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to follow through with each task assigned and see it to the proper completion
Document and report solutions implemented
Ability to collaborate as part of a team as well as work independently
In-Depth Understanding of the following required:
Windows Desktop Operating Systems 7+
Microsoft Office Suite (including Office 365)
Desktop Virus protection/removal
Familiarity with any of the following is a plus:
Network Security
Microsoft Server 2012+
Active Directory Service and Group Policy
IP Based Phones and PBX
Video Surveillance Systems
Synology NAS Systems
Ubiquiti Unifi Systems
Educational Requirements:
Two-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or related field and 1-3 years administering Microsoft environments, High School Diploma with 2-5 years experience in lieu of two-year degree
Other Considerations:
The successful candidate:
- must possess a valid driver's license and own transportation
- needs to be able to comfortably lift 40 lbs of equipment
- may occasionally be asked to work outside of business hours, and perform duties in the evening (system updates)
- must be able to attend mandatory weekly meetings
