A Hawaii based, family owned, specialty construction firm is seeking a Service Technician who can help with installing and maintaining electro-mechanical equipment such as washer extractors and boilers.
The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who enjoys working with their hands while also being able to use a computer to research and communicate with customers.
Basic Duties:
Install, operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical equipment
Execute equipment start-ups and training for customers
Perform scheduled service visits, technical problem-solving tasks and oversee parts ordering
Maintain equipment and service records
Use basic hand tools, power tools, multi meter for install, troubleshoot and repair
Preferred skills:
Read schematics, and diagrams to determine how to assemble parts, machines, and other equipment.
Test the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies
Analyze and record test results, and prepare written documentation
Work with the project managers and share information across the organization
Boiler and combustion systems knowledge/experience preferred
Fluid Dynamics knowledge a plus
Qualifications
Able to lift 50 pounds easily and safely
Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand complex diagrams and schematics
Must use personal basic hand tools and multi-meter
Must be able to work in confined spaces
Occasionally need to travel to Neighbor islands, or out of state for one or multiple days for work or training
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle
Education/Experience
Minimum 3-4 years in technical service preferred
Minimum High school diploma/GED required, some college or Trade School preferred
