Gravity Payments is growing our already existing Hawaii market. We are recognized for our helpful approach to sales and our local customer support in Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and Hawaii Island. We’re looking for an Outside Sales Representative to expand our network of Kauai merchants. If you thrive in face-to-face interactions, enjoy helping businesses succeed, and have a proven track record in sales or account management, we’d love to connect!

Sales:

Prospect and engage with local businesses by visiting in person to identify potential clients.

Own the full sales cycle, schedule meetings, present solutions, close deals, and maintain long-term partnerships.

Meet and exceed sales targets through proactive outreach and relationship-building.

Expand our network of Kauai merchants and contribute to overall team success.

Account Management:

Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing merchants to drive retention and referrals.

Manage a portfolio of merchant accounts, ensuring ongoing client satisfaction.

Conduct rate reviews, contract renewals, and proactive check-ins to maximize value for clients.

Assist businesses with payment processing equipment installation, training, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Implement strategies to reactivate and grow existing accounts.

Effectively triage with other departments when clients experience difficulties

Attend weekly strategy meetings to discuss individual progress, hurdles, and strategies

Continuous learning by participating in weekly role plays to develop skills

Preferred Skills

2+ years of experience in outside sales, business development, or payment services.

Experience in face-to-face sales and relationship management.

Comfortable with in-person, virtual, and phone-based client interactions.

Customer-Focused: Committed to understanding and meeting client needs.

Results-Driven: Motivated to achieve and exceed goals.

Action-Oriented: Takes initiative and follows through on opportunities.

Resilient: Adapts to challenges and remains persistent in a dynamic sales environment.

Experience with Salesforce or similar technology.

Strong Communication: Effectively conveys ideas, builds rapport, and engages clients through both written and verbal interactions.

Highly Organized: Skilled at managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and maintaining efficiency throughout the day.

Self-Motivated & Inspiring: Driven to achieve goals independently while also motivating others to succeed.

Confident Decision-Maker: Comfortable making independent, informed decisions to drive results.

Technical Requirements

Must have regular access to a wired internet connection with at least 25 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload speed.

Location Requirement

This role is based in Kauai, Hawaii. We welcome applicants who are open to relocating to Kauai, however, relocation assistance is not provided.

The salary for this position is $80,000-$100,000. We may be open to negotiating outside of this range if the desired salary aligns with the needs of the candidate and the company.
