East Hawaii macadamia operation has an immediate opening for a QA Team Member in Mac Nut Processing Plant.
This position is a regular FT position.
DUTIES:
- Assist in quality inspections of macadamia kernel to ensure compliance with company standards and FDA regulations.
- In the absence of the QA lead, perform precision measurements using tools such as moisture meters and e-coli, salmonella and listeria detection equipment to verify product specifications, or assist as needed.
- Assist in recording any quality issues or non-conformance found during kernel inspections.
- Assist in developing and maintaining quality control procedures and work instructions.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in training employees on quality assurance processes and procedures.
EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformance.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of quality systems, including quality control, quality inspection, and quality assurance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- The ability to work independently without continuous supervision
- The ability to follow technical instructions
- The ability to lift and carry 30 lbs
- The ability to climb stairs and ladders, and stand or walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods

Rate: Starting $15/hr
Shift: 8 hrs, M-F, 7:00am-3:30pm

The office is located at 16-261 Shipman Road in Kea’au (across the highway from the Shipman business park). Take Kipimana Road makai for about 1/8 mile until it intersects Shipman. Turn right and follow Shipman Road for approximately 1/8 mile.
