SBM Management is searching for a Turf Irrigation Tech to join our team! The Turf/Irrigation Technician uses specialized equipment to mow and groom the turf and maintains all irrigation systems for our properties. Operates medium-duty grounds equipment.
Responsibilities:
Adheres to safety protocols and regulations to ensure the well-being of oneself, coworkers, clients, and the public.
Operates and maintains equipment including but not limited to Zero turn mower, walk behind reel mowers, walk behind rotary mowers, line trimmer, edger, and spreader,
Responsible for mowing, trimming, raking, seeding, irrigating, weeding, fertilizing, patching, and preparing areas for new turf to ensure that the estates turf is in an optimal condition (safety and beauty).
Identify turf diseases, pests, and other health issues, and recommending appropriate treatment plans.
Identify safety risks such as raised roots or holes and remediate appropriately.
Gather, remove, and dispose of green-waste and/or trash materials
Operate, inspect, audit, maintain, adjust and repair the existing systems to ensure they perform at maximum efficiency and conserve water.
Set and maintain automatic irrigation systems to run systematically to ensure adequate moisture for plantings according to the landscape care program.
Design, install, test and maintain new irrigation systems, backflow devices and controllers.
Assist with other estate groundskeeping tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED
Required to have a valid driver’s license.
Compensation: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Shift: Full-time
