Kokua Tree Care is now hiring for a 25-35 hour per week ground-crew position. We are only seeking experienced individuals at this time.
Kokua Tree Care is a full spectrum tree service based out of the north shore with islandwide accounts . We do everything from large removals in Kahana; to harvesting coconuts in deep Huelo. The business has been built with a commitment to the values of integrity, respect, growth, malama (care) and kokua (service).
We are looking for a strong, smart and ambitious person who wants to grow personally and professionally as there is much room to grow in this indusTree. The ideal candidate takes direction well, learns swiftly and and isn’t afraid of a challenge. This work can be physically demanding at times and isn’t for the faint of heart. We are seeking an individual who wants to realize their full potential; To exceed your limits you must first reach them. Individuals not looking to become the best version of themselves need not apply. Bonus points if you have pruning/climbing experience. Huge bonus points if you are passionate about trees and sustainable agriculture!
Job Requirements:
-Communicating with clientele ensuring satisfaction
-Safely and efficiently clean up tree debris
-Setting and controlling rigging lines
-Driving dump truck with chipper
-Chainsaw and chipper operation
-Milling
-knowledge and application of common knots
-Maintenance of equipment e.g. sharpening chains, greasing chipper, repairing chainsaws
Personal Requirements:
-Valid drivers license & transportation
-Ability to lift 75lbs
-Must work and communicate well in small groups
-Be able to remain focused to ensure a safe job-site
