LANDSCAPER POSITION
POSITION SUMMARY
A landscaper maintains grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. A landscaper typically performs a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, irrigation repairs and gutter cleaning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Care for established lawns by weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.
Install and maintain irrigation systems.
Gather and remove litter from landscape.
Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges.
Water lawns, trees, or plants.
Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to do landscaping maintenance at the highest level.
Must be able to work with all power tool and hand tools.
Must be able to use a mower, string trimmer, hedger etc.
Ability to work well with a team or alone. Must be physically able to lift 50lbs or more. Able to continuously bend, lift, squat and be on your feet for 8 hours.
Must have reliable transportation.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
1 year experience.
Experience with irrigation and installation helpful.
Experience with tree trimming helpful.
EQUIPMENT, MACHINES, VEHICLE
Landscaping tools.
Power tools and hand tool.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Outdoor environments – exposure to hot and cold temperatures and different weather conditions.
WORK SCHEDULE
Full time.

Based on experience.
