Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Coordinator to support and perform basic HR operations, which include but are not limited to recruitment, onboarding, employee record-keeping, and benefits administration. This position will also serve as a liaison with our Professional Employer Organization.
Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday
Qualifications
- Associates degree in related field required OR three or more years experience as an HR Assistant or related position
- Knowledge of Human Resources rules, regulations, policies and procedures required
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Responsibilities
Recruitment and On-boarding
- Work with department supervisor(s) to compile job description and draft requisition
- Post finalized requisition on internal and external job boards
- Screen applicants by evaluating suitability for position based on specific job requirements; requesting clarification or missing information; confirming employment eligibility
- Coordinate interview process, collecting and checking references
- Assist with Offer Letters and set up pre-employment medical screening
- Manage on-boarding process, providing new hires with resources and verifying I-9 documents
Administrative and Clerical Support
- Act as a liaison between the company and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers
- Answer employee inquiries, assisting with questions about HR policies, benefits, and procedures
- Assist with processing payroll and resolving any discrepancies
- Manage and maintain employee records, ensuring files are accurate, organized, and compliant with regulations
- Support HR projects and initiatives, assisting with various HR-related projects and tasks
Employee Relations and Development
- Coordinate employee training by organizing and facilitating training programs
- Assist with performance management, helping with performance reviews, development plans, and proper documentation of incidents
- Handle employee relations issues, addressing employees’ questions and/or concerns
- Maintain compliance, ensuring HR practices comply with relevant laws and regulations
