Primary Purpose:
Provide prompt removal, recovery, and transportation of human remains on scene with the upmost dignity and respect. Follows the directions of the Lead Removal Technician on each call and is supervised overall by the Transport Supervisor.

Salary Based Compensation
12 hour on-call transportation availability shifts: 07:00 – 19:00 (Day) & 19:00 –
07:00 (Night). On-call, Part- Time, Full-Time position that requires flexibility.
4 hours on-site daily, Monday through Friday.
Full time minimum requirement: maintaining 20 hours per week of on-site duties which include but not limited to, contracted morgue operations and services, company vehicular maintenance & inventory management, office, and
client/customer assistance.
Commission Based Employment
Non- conditional Standby-On call: Compensated via predetermined zone rates; without additional benefits or allowances (is not considered physical working hours)
$60.00 per case completion in town/ 120.00 Hana zone/equivalent
$5.00/hour compensation for on-call/standby availability
Mental Demands:
This position often occurs in a high-stress environment that includes persons present in a highly emotional state. Scenes where performance of duties occurs can also be highly graphic in nature due to the nature of death. Requires the emotional capacity to handle such scenes professionally and accomplish the tasks at hand without distractions. Requires the ability to deal with difficult situations and demanding, uncooperative and sometimes hostile people and or situations in a compassionate and professional manner. Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize and handle high levels of stress. Requires the ability to think clearly, act quickly and utilize sound judgment in a variety of situations. Requires the ability to be self-disciplined and self-motivated. Must have the ability to serve as a member of a team in a cooperative environment.
Physical Demands:
This position involves sitting in a vehicle traveling to and from a scene but can also require being on one’s feet for extended periods of time. Requires lifting heavy objects more than 200 pounds (with assistance). Must be able to safely handle human body moving equipment.
Qualification Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Possess a valid Hawaii Driver’s License
Response time to central Maui location within 30 to 40 minutes.
21 years of age.

Some computer skills preferred. Data Entry Skills a plus
