HHH seeks a versatile cook to support our community meal program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals for our community
- Perform prep work: chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, etc.
- Set up and stock cooking stations
- Follow recipes while adapting to available donated ingredients
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with inventory and minimizing food waste
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers
Requirements:
- 1+ year kitchen experience (professional or extensive volunteer)
- Skilled in both prep work and line cooking
- Passion for community service and food security
- Adaptability and creativity in the kitchen
- Food safety certification and TB test (or willingness to obtain by first day of work)
- Ability to work varied shifts, with varied responsibilities
