Washing and Sanitizing:
Scraping and rinsing dishes to remove food particles. Loading and unloading dishwashers. Hand-washing delicate or large items.
Cleaning and sanitizing all dishes, utensils, glassware, and cookware. Ensuring proper sanitation and following food safety regulations.
Maintaining the Dish Area:
Keeping the dish area clean, organized, and free of clutter. Storing cleaned dishes and utensils in designated areas.
Setting up dishwashing stations and sinks. Ensuring adequate supplies of dish soap, detergents, and cleaning supplies are available.
General Kitchen Duties:
Emptying trash cans and recycling bins. Cleaning food preparation areas, including tables, equipment, and floors.
May help with food preparation or other tasks as requested by chefs or managers. Cleaning and sanitizing storage areas, including freezers and refrigerators.
Equipment Maintenance:
Checking and reporting any issues with dishwashers or other cleaning equipment. Ensuring dishwashers are functioning properly.
