Satori is a sushi / poke food truck in Makawao specializing in local fish and farm to table dishes. We are expanding our hours and hiring part time and full time, either a poke chef or sushi chef depending on skills and experience. Sunday Monday are our poke menu days. Poke chef can be trained but still requires prep experience and knife skills. Our sushi menu is served Tuesday - Saturday and requires some sushi experience to start.
Pay averages $300-450 per full day shift including tips. (Half day shifts are available too) This is a one-person show so is best for someone with experience in both FOH and BOH that can work quickly and efficiently.

The following are requirements to apply:
- knife skills. Must be able to quickly chop and julienne vegetables using a knife or mandolin.
- excellent customer service and communication skills. You will have to handle the pressure of taking orders, making orders, and sending them out while helping more customers. It is best for someone with a multi-tasking ability.
- healthy lifestyle: sober mindset, interest in quality, healthy food and cooking. We will not hire anyone with drug or alcohol problems.
- Commitment and reliability: Plans to stay on island long term, punctuality, reliability.
- Cleanliness: must be able to clean a kitchen properly and thoroughly.
- Reliable transportation and phone service from home.
- Resume with food service references.
- Must be able to follow instructions and recreate recipes exactly how taught.
- Positive attitude: The job can be challenging on busy days and a balanced mental state it is needed to be able to handle an entire food truck on your own. Teamwork and an ability to set up the next chef for success is an absolute must!
