Responsibilities
Supervise daily café operations to ensure efficiency and quality service.
Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to promote a positive work environment.
Ensure drinks are being batched correctly.
Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain high culinary standards.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally to enhance customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
Implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Conduct regular inspections of the café to ensure cleanliness and organization.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or as an assistant manager in a casual or fine dining setting.
Strong knowledge of food management practices, including food safety regulations.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a positive dining experience.
Experience in shift management, ensuring smooth transitions between team members during busy periods.
Culinary skills are a plus, particularly in menu development and food presentation.
Familiarity with bartending is beneficial but not required.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills.
