We pride ourselves on offering the freshest seafood dishes paired with crafted cocktails and a curated selection of fine wines, sake, and beers. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bar Manager to lead our beverage program and oversee the operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mixology, a keen eye for detail, and exceptional leadership skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your creativity, drive profitability, and elevate the bar experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute creative and innovative cocktail menus/specials that reflect current industry trends and complement our seafood-centric menu offerings.

- Oversee all aspects of bar operations, including inventory management, ordering, and cost control, to optimize profitability and minimize waste.

- Train and supervise bartenders and barbacks, providing guidance, support, and ongoing feedback to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction.

- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization behind the bar, including proper storage and handling of spirits, mixers, and garnishes, as well as regular cleaning and maintenance of bar equipment.

- Create/Uphold standard operating procedures for bar service, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling policies, and responsible alcohol service practices.

- Monitor and enforce compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies governing alcohol service, including age verification, intoxication prevention, and liability protection.

- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among bar staff, promoting teamwork, communication, and mutual respect.

- Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute marketing and promotional initiatives to drive traffic and increase beverage sales.

- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and emerging technologies in the beverage industry, and incorporate relevant innovations into the bar program as appropriate.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a high-volume bar or restaurant environment.

- Extensive knowledge of mixology, cocktail preparation techniques, and beverage trends.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to deliver exceptional service.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Proficiency in inventory management software and POS systems.

- Must have a valid Hawaii/Kauai County Blue Card.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
