Staff Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the non-profit sector in Honolulu, Hawaii. As a Staff Accountant, your role will encompass a broad range of responsibilities, including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Hawaii due to the nature of the job requirements.Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with grant requirements by reviewing transactions Prepare comprehensive reports for federal, state, and private grants Closely monitor and record additional contributions Develop and maintain financial statements, budgets, and forecasts Execute account reconciliation tasks Adhere to GAAP Accounting principles Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger Prepare and record journal entries, and manage month-end close procedures Use various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing and collections Experience with Bank Reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy Knowledge of General Ledger management and maintenance Ability to prepare and adjust Journal Entries as required Demonstrated experience with Month End Close procedures Proficiency in using NetSuite for various accounting tasks Comfortable working with Oracle for financial data management Experience with QuickBooks for accounting and payroll functions Familiarity with SAP for enterprise resource planning and finance management Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
