Mgr, Network Engineering (Full Time, 40, Day)

RESPONSIBILITIESI. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages the performance of the network team to provide 24x7 support, resulting in optimal network performance and availability to meet defined service levels. Responsible for the quality of the networking environment, including upgrades and maintenance while providing regular communication and status updates, and facilitation of IT processes as needed. Works closely with other IT teams, departmental management and vendors to ensure that network issues and root cause analysis are addressed. Works with IT leadership to design and implement the IT business plan and ensures goals and objectives support the overall strategic direction of the organization.II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, and speaking. Continuous: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. Frequent: walking. Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object. Operates: computer, calculator, telephone, fax, printer and smart phone.III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, healthcare or related field; or four (4) years experience in information technology may be substituted for educational requirement. Current certification in one (1) or more of the following required:o Microsoft certificationso Cisco or other networking certificationso ITIL Foundation or other ITSM Certificationo Disaster Recovery CertificationB. EXPERIENCE: In addition to the educational requirement, six (6) years Cisco networking experience, preferably in an acute care facility or integrated healthcare delivery application system environment. Three (3) years management/supervisory experience. Experience to demonstrate the following:o Experience managing enterprise wireless networks.o Experience managing Cisco technologies to include switches, routers and other equipment.o Experience with switching and routing protocols.o Ability to manage a large, complex network spanning multiple locations supporting mission critical applications.o Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact and present to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.o Ability to lead teams, gain consensus, and move teams towards a shared vision.o Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Vet
