Description Robert Half is seeking a Certified Payroll Clerk with proficiency in processing payroll through Deltek for a construction company in Honolulu, Hawaii. The company thrives on teamwork and collaboration, and they are looking for a detail-oriented Certified Payroll Clerk to join their team. Preference will be given to Oahu residence due to the nature of this job.Job Overview:The Certified Payroll Clerk will be directly responsible for processing weekly payroll, managing timecards, distributing paychecks, and maintaining payroll records in compliance with state and federal regulations. The incumbent should have a thorough understanding and experience with Deltek payroll software.Responsibilities:
Processing weekly payroll using the Deltek platform.
Managing, collecting, and verifying timecards.
Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently.
Maintaining employee records related to payroll.
Preparing reports for upper management, finance department etc.
Reconciling payroll discrepancies and rectifying any issues.
Complying with all state and federal payroll regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred.
Minimum of 2 years' experience as payroll clerk.
Hands-on experience with Deltek payroll software preferred.
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong numerical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to comply with tight deadlines.
