Description One of our clients in the Honolulu area is searching for an accounts payable specialist to assist in the accounting department. This client offers free parking, a flexible work schedule, and a stable collaborative accounting department.If you are interested this role, please contact Melissa Tree at 808.452.0254 All inquires are confidential. Responsibilities: Accurately receive and process invoices and internal check requests Maintain open files for purchase orders and packing/receiving slips to match with invoices Verify invoices with the purchase order for the quantity, unit cost, and approved amount Enter invoices and subcontractor invoices into the accounting system after matching them with the purchase order and packing/receiving slips Process credit memos on a timely basis and maintain a batch control to verify posting Schedule invoices for payment on a weekly basis and print approved checks for signature Maintain accurate customer credit records and set up new vendor information in the accounting system Reconcile vendor statements monthly and provide invoices for time and material billings Handle phone calls from vendors and other departments regarding payment status of invoices Perform all filing duties, including check copies, cancelled checks, invoices, and subcontract documents Utilize various software including Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for data entry and account reconciliation.Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Oracle, and SAP Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable (AP) Understanding of account reconciliation processes Experience in coding invoices Proficient in data entry tasks Familiarity with check runs Proven ability to process invoices effectively Knowledge of the construction/contractor industry Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment High level of integrity and dependability.
