An Hourly LRAM Commercial Driver (CDL) position is available at Pohakuloa Training Area, HI with Colorado State University (CSU) and the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML). The position is located in Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA), HI. These positions cannot exceed 9 months, but opportunities for permanent positions may become available during or after a temporary assignment. These positions are contingent on continued project funding at PTA. Remote work is not allowed for this position.

The position will provide Land Rehabilitation and Maintenance (LRAM) support for US Army Garrison (USAG) Hawaii at PTA.This position will operate wheeled loader, dump trucks and water trucks for the purpose of completing LRAM projects. Primary functions are soil stabilization and vegetation management on Army lands. This position will also require operational maintenance and inspections of all equipment for operational readiness and safety, tracking and preparing weekly progress reports.

Work will be on-site at PTA, Hawaii.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to work in-person at Pohakuloa Training Area, HI.

High school Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A

2 Years experience with running and maintaining heavy equipment.

Ability to work outdoors and perform strenuous labor under all weather conditions (e.g., heat and humidity, rain)

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly without assistance.

Ability to follow directions, work collectively with others as a team, and maintain safe working standards.

Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.

The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by proposed start date; CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Hourly pay rate is $28.85/hour.
