Position Overview
As a Teacher Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Lead Teacher to foster a safe, respectful, and joyful classroom. Your role will include supporting instruction, nurturing positive student behavior, helping manage classroom logistics, and contributing to an enriching learning environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Supporting students one-on-one and in small groups
Assisting with classroom management and positive behavior guidance
Leading games and activities during recess
Collaborating with the Lead Teacher on lesson execution and classroom flow
Helping with classroom prep, student drop-off/pick-up, and occasional school events
Modeling and reinforcing Roots School values and policies
Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to all professional and legal expectations
