Are you fascinated with the coral reef and Hawaiian History? Is your ideal work environment out on the water interacting with people who are looking to have fun? If so, this might be the job for you!

Our narrators are fun, entertaining, and knowledgeable people who inform our guests about almost everything under the sun, (and sea). The narration topics consist of Hawaii’s marine life, culture, and history. The primary subject is Kona’s coral reef ecology. Also discussed is the history of Kailua Bay, geology of the Hawaiian Islands, Hawaii’s marine mammals and other marine creatures. Some terrestrial ecology/biology and fun facts are discussed as applicable to the group’s interest.

In addition to the Reef Tours, we also offer Private Charters, Ash Scatterings, and Sunset Tours.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education in Hawaii’s Marine life either formal or informal

Experience with public speaking

Able to perform basic tasks of boat crew i.e., handling the lines and assisting captain.

Friendly, with a good attitude and sense of humor

Reliable, dependable and safety orientated.

Comfortable with technology (We use FareHarbor for our bookings and Wherewolf for our waivers)

Must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.

We offer competitive wages, based on experience, and benefits. Benefits include paid time off, 3% IRA matching and bonuses. Tips from guests are split with Captain and crew member(s). Lunch is provided on "ship days."

We are looking for coverage on Mondays and Wednesdays (about 12 to 19 hours a week). Additional days will be scheduled when cruise ships come to port. This schedule will be provided well in advance. There will occasionally be some work during the evenings (sunsets) available.
