Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant/Financial Reporting Analyst to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. You will also assist in statutory reporting, income tax provisions, general expense management, and financial performance analysis. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects and supervise junior accounting staff as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement data.
Coordinate and file Quarterly and Annual Statements with regulatory bodies.
Reconcile complex accounts and recommend adjusting journal entries.
Support quarterly federal income tax provision and deferred tax worksheets.
Coordinate premium tax filings processed by third-party vendors.
Supervise and mentor one to two staff accountants.
Assist with annual financial audits and tax return preparation.
Work on special projects related to financial reporting, systems, and process improvement.
Collaborate across departments and with external partners including auditors and tax professionals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
Strong knowledge of accrual-based accounting; statutory accounting experience a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; able to work with advanced formulas and financial models.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial colleagues.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proven ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Experience leading projects or supervising others is preferred.

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 10 lbs.
May require occasional evening or weekend work depending on workload.
Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and work collaboratively across teams.

Office setting with moderate noise, fluorescent lighting, and standard HVAC conditions.
Regular interaction with various internal departments and external auditors, consultants, and financial institutions.
