We are seeking a responsible, detail-oriented and well organized Office/Account Manager to join our team. Our longtime Accountant/HR Manager is getting ready to retire but will be staying on to help train and teach the ropes of our organization.
The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, organizational skills with strong attention to details, ability to work Independently, be trustworthy, a problem solver, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, be pro-active, and responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and various accounting tasks.
Responsibilities include:
Accounts Payable - Full cycle accounts payable / Verifying the accuracy and validity of all vendor invoices / Preparing and inputting vendor invoices accurately / Reconciling discrepancies to assure correct payments are processed to suppliers / Disbursing checks / Maintaining records / Responding to vendor and internal inquiries and resolving issues / Obtaining and maintaining vendor W-9 forms, 1099, etc.
Payroll – Semi-monthly payroll processing / Maintaining and submitting reports / Process new hires and terminations.
Human Resources – Maintain and manage employee records and benefits/ Handles reporting and record keeping for worker’s comp, unemployment compensation, and disability claims. Works closely with management and staff to build morale and improve working relationships.
Other Accounting Functions - Reconciliation of bank and varies general ledger accounts / Bank deposits / Assisting in financial statement preparation.
Basic Requirements:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel), proficiency in QuickBooks and 10‐key by touch.
Able to maintain confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee records.
At least 2 years of Accounting, Administrative, or Clerical experience.
Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred
