Office / Accounting Assistant

HK Construction is looking for an office/accounting assistant based in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform basic office tasks such as filing, scanning, copying, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.
Responsible for recording, reconciling, and making payments on all accounts payable accounts on a timely basis.
Ensure that payments are posted correctly and required account adjustments are made in a timely manner.
Get approval on invoices/bills before processing any payments.
Assist with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
Record Purchase Orders to QuickBooks
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Create and maintain new employee and corporate folders
Assist in ordering and restocking office supplies as needed.
Help with restocking bathroom supplies as needed (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, soap etc.)
Requirements:
QuickBooks knowledge
Proficiency w/ Microsoft suite applications, especially Excel
Min. 2 years experience as an accounting/office assistant
Degree in Accounting or Business Administration is a plus!
Must be organized and neat
Must be punctual
