Position Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting functions across multiple affiliated companies and its 200 employees and multiple location across the state. This includes working with a team consisting of a Controller, and Accounting Clerks. The CFO will provide strategic financial leadership, support growth initiatives, safeguard assets, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Oversight:
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close across all entities
Maintain compliance with GAAP and all federal and state reporting requirements
Payroll & Benefits Administration:
Oversee payroll operations for more than 200 employees across multiple companies
Ensure payroll accuracy, timely tax filings, and compliance with labor laws
Work closely with HR and benefits administrators to align payroll and benefits reporting
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process for each company and monitor ongoing performance against budget
Treasury & Risk Management:
Manage cash flow, and debt obligations
Monitor insurance, risk exposure, and financial policies across companies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred)
Minimum 10 years of progressive financial management experience, including multi-entity accounting.
Proven experience preparing & managing payroll functions
Expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and budgeting
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
